Artist Concert Series: Viennese Masters
Suzuki School of Newton

Suzuki School of Newton will be hosting its first Artist Concert Series performance of 2012! This evening of music will feature selections from four Viennese masters: Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, and Webern, played by violinist Ariadne Daskalakis and pianist Anthony Spiri. Advance purchase tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for child/senior, and $60 for a family ticket (2 adults and up to 5 children of same family). At the door, tickets are $30/$15/$70.

Highland Glee Club Spring Concert
Featuring Aaron Wolff, cello
Highland Glee Club
War Memorial Auditorium
Newton Town Hall
Sunday, May 6 at 3pm

The Spring Concert always features a performance by an area student who is planning to enter musical study as a career and is selected by audition for a scholarship from the club. The talented winner this year is 18 year old Aaron Wolff, a cellist from Newton South HS. Aaron will perform Bach's Prelude from Suite No. 5 and Rachmaninoff's Sonata, Opus 19. The Glee Club will be singing a variety of pieces, including Cole Porter, Vaughan Williams, John Heiss and English folksongs.
